Buyer Protection

Get the item you ordered, or get your money back

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Key points

  • Covers every order paid through iSocialize checkout — shipped or local pickup.
  • Item didn't arrive, arrived damaged or defective, or isn't as described: full refund, including original shipping.
  • Report within 30 days of delivery, or of the latest estimated delivery date.
  • Not covered: payments made outside iSocialize, and change-of-mind returns the seller doesn't offer.

Buyer Protection is iSocialize's guarantee on orders paid through iSocialize checkout. It applies on top of the seller's own return policy, and no seller can opt out of it.

What's covered

  • Didn't arrive — the item wasn't delivered by the latest estimated delivery date, or the seller of a local pickup order never handed it over.
  • Damaged or defective — the item arrived broken, or doesn't work as it should.
  • Not as described — it's significantly different from the listing: the wrong item, a different condition, missing parts, undisclosed defects, or a counterfeit.

What you get

A full refund of the item price and the original shipping to your original payment method. If we ask you to return a not-as-described item, the seller pays the return shipping.

Time limits

Report a problem within 30 days of the delivery date, or, if the item never arrived, of the latest estimated delivery date. For local pickup orders, report a missed handover within 30 days of payment.

How to make a claim

  1. Message the seller from Your orders and give them 3 business days to fix it.
  2. If they don't, email info@isocialize.me with your order number, what went wrong and photos.
  3. We review the order, the listing, tracking and your messages, and usually decide within 2 business days of receiving what we need.

What isn't covered

  • Purchases paid outside iSocialize checkout — cash, bank transfer, payment apps or gift cards. Never pay a seller this way.
  • Change-of-mind returns, unless the seller offers returns (see Returns & Refunds).
  • The condition of local pickup items you inspected and accepted at the meetup.
  • Damage after delivery, items that match their listing, and claims made after the time limit.
  • Orders where you opened a PayPal dispute or a card chargeback — that process decides instead.

Who pays for the refund

Refunds are paid from the seller's proceeds for the order, which iSocialize holds in the seller's wallet. Sellers agree to this in the Seller standards. In rare cases where the seller's funds can't cover it, iSocialize may decide to refund you directly.

We may decline claims that are abusive, such as repeated claims without evidence. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law where you live.

Common questions

Does Buyer Protection cost anything?

No. It's included on every order paid through iSocialize checkout.

Does it cover local pickup?

Yes, if you paid through checkout and the seller never handed the item over. The condition of an item you inspected and accepted at the meetup isn't covered.

How long do I have to report a problem?

30 days from delivery, or from the latest estimated delivery date if the item never arrived.

What if I paid the seller in cash or with a payment app?

That purchase isn't covered. Only payments made through iSocialize checkout are protected.

Questions about this policy? Email info@isocialize.me. We reply within 1 business day, Monday to Friday.
