Local Pickup & Safe Meetups

Many items on iSocialize are collected in person. Listings say "Local pickup only" or "Ship or pick up", and show the seller's city or neighborhood — never an exact address.

How it works

1. Buy with iSocialize checkout and choose pickup, or message the seller first with questions.
2. Agree a time and a public place in iSocialize messages, so there's a record if anything goes wrong.
3. Meet, inspect the item, and take it. The seller marks the order as picked up.

Sold as-is

Local pickup items are sold as-is, with no returns. Look the item over, test it, and ask questions before you take it. If it isn't what the listing described, don't accept it: tell the seller, leave without it, and contact us for a refund. Once you've inspected and accepted an item, the sale is final.

If you paid through checkout and the seller doesn't show up or won't hand the item over, Buyer Protection gives you a full refund. Payments made outside iSocialize — cash, bank transfers, payment apps — aren't protected.

Meet safely

• Pick a public place: a busy café, a store entrance, or a police station "safe exchange zone" — many US police departments offer one.
• Go in daylight, and bring a friend if you can. Tell someone where you're going.
• Don't share your home address, and don't meet at a seller's or buyer's home for small items.
• Keep the conversation in iSocialize messages. Be wary of anyone who pushes to move to text, email or another app.
• Never pay in advance outside iSocialize, and never pay with gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency.
• Check before you hand over money: power on electronics, check serial numbers, try clothes for fit and look for damage.
• Sellers: don't hand over the item until the payment shows in the app. Ignore "payment sent" emails or screenshots, and offers to overpay.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. In an emergency, call 911.

Report a listing or a member from their page, or email info@isocialize.me. Never ship an item that a buyer arranged to collect, and never send money to a stranger's courier.
