Lets Code posted an update
The World Wide Web (WWW) was invented by the British computer scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee. He proposed the idea in 1989 while working at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland. His goal was to create a system that allowed scientists to share information easily across different computers. Key Milestones in the Invention: 1989: Berners-Lee wrote the initial proposal (which his boss famously called "vague but exciting"). 1990: He wrote the code for the first web browser (called WorldWideWeb), the first web server, and the fundamental protocols still used today: HTML (HyperText Markup Language), HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol), and URLs (Uniform Resource Locators). 1991: The Web was made available to people outside of CERN. 1993: CERN put the software in the public domain, making it free for everyone to use and ensuring its explosive growth.
