In 2005, Masayoshi Son showed Steve Jobs a sketch for a future mobile device. Jobs replied: “Masa, I don’t need that sketch. I already have something much better.” Two years later, Apple unveiled the iPhone. The lesson? Ideas are common. Execution is rare.
